For those of you in the know, you’re already aware that Alex and Austin make up the rhythm section for indie-folk-rock-pop-multi-hyphenate musician Hawley Shoffner. After months of writing and recording, Hawley will be releasing her debut album (the absurdly titled “Hawley”) on Friday, August 19. The milestone will be marked with a CD Release show at Schuba’s in Chicago along with Hotel Ahead, Republic of Lights, and Audiences. Show at 9:00pm. 18+.

With our work done on Hawley’s record, we’re refocusing our energy back on The Noise FM’s next record (tentatively titled “Dog Gone, Baby Gone, 3D”). Tomorrow we’re returning to the studio to begin work on a couple of new tunes. Stay tuned to www.twitter.com/thenoisefm to keep abreast of studio updates. Without fail, there are always a couple of celebrity friends who like to swing by the studio while we’re working. Our last recording session was interrupted by Ted Dansen bringing by a Domino’s pizza and his homemade challah — a Dansen family recipe. Who knows what’s in store for tomorrow?
