Well hey there buckaroos!
It’s my duty to point out that 2010 has already seen the release of three killer records filled with aural pleasures (and we haven’t even released our record yet!)…
I suggest you check out the banging new OK Go album “Of The Blue Colour of the Sky.” Yep, the tunes are as classy as you would expect from an album title using the ol’ English spelling of ‘colour.’
Perhaps you’ve seen the videos…?
Spoon has just released their most recent and rocking record “Transference.” (FYI: Spoon bassist Rob Pope hails from right here in Lawrence, KS. I had quite the geek out when I recently ran into Pope and Spoon frontman Brit Daniels at local hangout The Bourgeois Pig. I remember asking Brit a ridiculous question before immediately blacking out).
And Vampire Weekend has “Contra,” a funky little number. I’d stack these three records up with any of the best from 2010 (though I must admit, I didn’t listen to a single new record last year aside from “The Resistance”… I dropped the ball last year…).
We’re still answering both obscene and surprisingly sophisticated questions at www.formspring.me/thenoisefm
We’ll keep answering your questions until we’ve run that gimmick into the ground.
See you soon.
